Our First Disaster...

On Monday evening I was home and needed to throw some laundry into the washer. So I put it in and started to clean the bathroom. While I was cleaning the bathroom Kris came home from school early so I told him to grab a scrub brush and help out. I then heard him yell "AMY!". I ran into the kitchen to find water everywhere. The hose on the back of the washing machine had come off and there was water all through the laundry room and the kitchen. Oh what a sight! So we grabbed all of our towels and started soaking up the water.

Needless to say we cleaned it all up and am very thankful we are in an apartment and not in our brand new condo! So the next morning all I had to do was call the maintenance people and have them dry the water that got onto the carpet. I didn't get any pictures of the actual water but...look at all the towels we used!

I will be washing those for days. :) We survived our first home disaster...and I must say that we did pretty well.
