Birthday Extravaganza!

My birthday was on Saturday and I will have to say that this birthday is up there as one of the best birthday's ever! It started Friday at work when I received flowers from my friends Kim and Emily. They had sent me roses and iris'. It was so sweet! The ladies at work also made sure that my birthday was off to the right start. We ordered lunch in for the office and they had also gotten me an ice cream cake from Cold Stone. YUM! That night Kim and Emily also took me out to dinner at Kona Grill. Obviously the diet was off for the weekend...haha. Dinner with them was so much fun! We were there for almost 2 hours and it was a really fun time just being able to hang out with the girls. When I arrived home Kris wanted me to open his present. He had gotten me a Tiffany's necklace that matched the silver ball bracelet that I already had. It was so sweet and it totally caught me off guard.

On Saturday morning we went to breakfast and ran some errands. Then Kris and I both got massages. It was so needed!! Kris had also ordered a Cold Stone cake for me so we went to get that and couldn't even cut through it because it was so cold! So we just got our forks and went for it. haha! After that we went to a pool party that my friend was having and got to hang out with them for a few hours. Then Kris needed to work on his talk for Sunday so Sara and I headed out to the nail place for a pedicure. I love getting pampered!! Then it was back home to chill for a bit then get ready for dinner. Kris had made reservations just the day before so we didn't go eat until 9:45 but it fit into the day pretty well. We went to the Melting Pot. It was my first time there and even thought it was good I don't think that I would want to back there for an entire meal again. The dessert of course was amazing but I wasn't too impressed with all of the other courses. It was a great dining experience and it was the perfect ending to a perfect day. :) Being as old as we are now we were so tired driving home at midnight and crashed into bed the minute we got home.

Sunday we both had to give talks in church and the bishopric had told us to take 25 minutes between the two of us. Well...by the time the announcements and the sacrament was done we had 40 minutes!! So we ended a little early and I felt a little embarrassed but they assured us that it was okay and not a big deal since we did exactly what they asked us to do. I felt we both did a pretty good job.

Thank you to all for the birthday wishes!! My weekend was so much fun and it was all because of you! Love you all! :)
