We left late Friday night (or early Sat morning...whenever 2am is for you) and drove through the night. Then began the process of moving the houseboat to where we were going to be camping. Staci HATED wearing her life jacket. So being the pushover that i am, I let her go without while we were moving the boat. (disclaimer...if we had been on the regular boat I would have made her but the houseboat is a different story). We got there, got things set up and began the fun weekend! I wont go into details about the whole trip...just highlight some things here and there. I'm waiting for other people to send me pictures from the trip so...these will have to do for now.
This is the "baby whisperer" that was on the boat with us. My mom was great and such a lifesaver! Being with a baby on such a small area where she can't crawl around everywhere was pretty tricky. So when it was time for Staci to take a nap my mom would take her and get her to calm down and then finally to sleep. Thanks mom!!

My sister's kiddos...here is Kristin on the knee board and then Kayla taking a mud bath. Love these kids!!
Just hanging on the boat...

We decided to take Staci out for a ride and even on the tube! She is so funny looking in this outfit...but still so cute!! She loves being outside so she was pretty good for most of the trip...except when she would wake up at 4:30 and wouldn't go back to sleep. :)

Monday we were all set to get up, play a bit, and then leave shortly after lunch. Little did we know that we would have up to 55mph winds! We had to hurry and get our stuff out of our tent before it blew away, and we really didn't know if we would be able to leave. The winds were so bad! We saw a houseboat off their anchor so a few guys went over to see if they were okay and needed help. They said they were fine and were just going to wait out the winds. Well about an hour later we heard a distress call from the boat so our guys jumped in the boat and jet skis and were over there to help them out. They were taking on water and were being slammed up against the rocks. SCARY! The boys towed them to a safe place and got them squared away. Lesson to be learned...when help is sent your way let go of your pride and accept it the first time. The winds finally calmed down and we left the houseboat around 6:30 to go back to the dock. Finally leaving Page around 9 and making it home around 2am. We were EXHAUSTED!! But it was a fun trip and we can't wait for next year!!!
