On Thursday night Staci woke up screaming and it took a good 2 hours to get her to calm down. She has never done this before so it totally worried me. She wouldn't take a bottle, wouldn't calm down if I was holding and rocking her, I tried singing to her (okay...this might make anyone cry harder) and we even tried taking her for a car ride. Nope, nothing worked. Finally she just conked out. The next night the same thing happened! This time it took only an hour to get her to calm down. Seriously. Back arching, crying hysterically. Not fun. I noticed she was tugging at her ear so being the paranoid first mother, I called the docs office on Saturday morning. I'm so glad they have weekend hours! We went and of course they told us nothing medically was wrong with her. They then went on to say that around 9 months is when they can start having nightmares/night terrors. Talk about breaking my heart! I would rather her have an ear infection or something that can be fixed. And who knows how long this is going to go on for.
Tonight she just had another episode. This one went on for about 45 minutes so it was the shortest but still...so heart breaking. I really hope that this doesn't last a long time. I also wonder if moving has anything to do with it. Being in a new place, with new smells, and new sounds? Maybe?? My poor baby. I wish I knew what to do to comfort her...
On a side note...she had a lot of fun playing with the paper at the doctors office. The joys in life.

Those legs are so adorable. Sorry about the night terrors. I would have been worried too.
Elliot still gets them, it breaks my heart every time! We just make sure she is comfortable and sit by her until they stop.
Poor thing! I hate it when the doctor can't do anything to help! She is adorable.
