Just for my sweetie

Sunday was Kris' birthday and, being the nice wife that I am, said that I would go to the Nascar race with him this year. I know I have said that he could find other people to go with him but he has gone to some plays with me this year so I think I owed him one. :) We decided to play it cheap and get the hill side tickets. So with our camping chairs and cooler in tow, we were off. We got to the race a couple of hours early so we could go and see all of the fun and crazy stuff they had going on there that year...not to mention people watch. (I saw one guy wearing a shirt that said "you mess with me, you mess with the whole trailer park", lets hope he wore it just for the event...) For those of you who live in AZ know how hot it has been this last week. Well me thinking it was going to be a night race wore jeans and a good ol black shirt (mistake). When we got to the race we had to walk around the entire track to finally get to the hill side to put our chairs up so we could go back out and walk around. Well little did we know that when you purchase the hill side tickets you really can't go "in" PIR. LAME-O! We were so bummed! So then we had to walk around the track again to get the scanners for the race and then BACK to the hill side. By this time I was not saying very nice things...lucky for us a lady was driving by in her golf cart and gave us a ride. So we go back up to our chairs and wait the hour for the race to start...in the heat. I was miserable!! So not worth the cheapness. Next time we are going all out with the really good seats!! But once the sun went down and the race got going it turned out to be a fun night. Kris' guy didn't win but it was still fun to be there.

Check out the pic below...look at all of those RV's!!Love you baby! Hope you had a great birthday! :)

I bet Cade would go to the races with you in a few years. He wouldn't know what to think if he saw "Cars" in real life and not just on the tv. Happy Birthday!
